Ingredients: rice and moong dal laddoos


4 cups boiled rice (washed and dried under the sun)
2 cups green gram dhal (Moong dhal)
½ cup sesame seeds
1 large coconut – grated
1 kg jaggery
½ -3/4 tsp cardamom powder
3 tbsp pure ghee
½ cup chopped cashew nuts



Method:
Roast the rice and moong dhal separately till light brown and prepare powder. Roast sesame seeds. Mix the powders along with roasted sesame seeds, cashew nuts, cardamom powder and keep aside.

Put jaggery in a big vessel, add ½ cup water and cook on a slow fire till the jaggery dilutes. Strain and put it back to the vessel, add the grated coconut, 3 tbsp of pure ghee and mix well. Cook the coconut for 2-3 minutes, switch off the fire, add the rice mixture and mix well. Apply pure ghee/butter to your palms and make ladoos of desired size while the mixture is hot.
