Ingredients:
500 grams prawns, cleaned and washed in vinegar not water
10 red chilies
1 inch piece ginger root
12 garlic flakes
10 peppercorns
500 grams onions’
3 green chilies
10 big tomatoes peeled and sliced
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 tblsp of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Method:
Grind onions, green chilies and ginger to a fine paste.
Grind separately garlic and all the dry spices to a fine paste.
Heat oil in a pan and add onions and stir them till they are golden brown.
Add garlic paste and fry till a nice aroma comes out of it. Add prawns and cook till dry.
Add tomatoes, grind onions, chili and ginger paste and salt and cook stirring often till the prawns are tender.
Cool and store in an airtight container.
