Shatsu massage

Dry hair) (suka baal) - Massage the scalp with coconut or olive oil. Then soak a towel in hot water. Squeeze it and apply around your hair for 15 min. This hot towel therapy helps the hair absorb oil and moisture. Then massage scalp once again and shampoo.

 Dull and lifeless hair(karab baal):  If you hair is dull and lifeless, soak 1 tblsp fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Grind thin to a paste and rub into your scalp. Shampoo after ½ an hour. After a shampoo, you can wash out your hair with a mixture of lemon juice and vinegar in a bucket of water.

Soft and silky hair(mulayam baalo keliye): for a soft and silky hair, boil water with a few tea leaves, crushed leaves of sesame are considered beneficial in the treatment of dandruff. A decoction made from the leaves and roots is used as hair wash. It is said to prevent premature graying of hair and promote their growth.

Scalp treatment(matapang) : Washing hair with milk and egg yolk everyday will promote hair growth and protect the scalp from all diseases.

Dandruff treatment:

Conditioning hair/Hair care(baloki dhek baal):

Note: Don’t let the henna sit for too long, otherwise the hair will become too dry. You can put shower cap on top of your hair, to protect the henna from rubbing against things.

Vomiting and Diarrhea:

If you have diarrhea. Solution: Drink the paneer water. How to make paneer. Take 2 cups milk and let it come to boil. Then add 2 tblsp lemon juice. When the milk gets curdled, filter it through a sieve. The curdled milk can be used in dishes for making paneer. But the water can be used to drink, when vomiting and diarrhea begins.

Ingredients:
2 cup water
½ cup powdered fennel seeds
Method:
Let the water boil for about 5 minutes while keeping the pot covered. Then add fennel seed mixture to the boiling water. Cool the mixture and then sip as required. 2-3 cups daily.

Smooth and shiny texture of skin and body massage:


For smooth and shiny skin texture. Take 1 cup coconut oil. Then 2 tblsp of Ajwain(caraway/carom seeds). Take the coconut oil in a pot and try to heat. When the heat is on, add ajwain seeds to the oil. Let it heat till the ajwain seeds color comes out and the coconut oil color changes to light brown. Then filer the oil through a sieve. The filtered oil can be poured in a jar and stored. This oil can be used on scalp(hair) for massage or on your body for relaxation.

Controlling Diabetes:

  • Grind 3 karela (bitter gourd) in the grinder to make fine paste. Or use  a juice extractor to extract karela juice. Drink everyday ½ cup of karela juice. Really good for diabetics.
  • Dry the jambul/jamun (jhambool) seeds in the sun and powder the seeds in a grinder. Take 1 tblsp of powdered jamun seeds everyday early morning empty stomach.
  • Kadu Kirata(swertia-chirata): Take 2 cups boiling water and add ½ cup kadu kirata to the boiling water. Add 2-3 cloves of garlic, ½ tsp ajwain(caraway seeds) and let it boil, till it is simmering hot. Let it sit and cool down. Filter the kadu kirata mixture through a sieve. Filtered kadu water can be poured in a air tight container and stored for days. Take 1 cup for 2 days. This can be taken twice or three times a month.
  • neem leaves: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot and then add dried neem leaves. let it boil for another 10-15 minutes. When the neem water cools down, drain the neem water through a filter and pour the neem water in a glass to drink early morning empty stomach. Do not eat for another 1 or so. Do not brush your teeth immediately after either. Do this twice or three times a month. It is good for blood purfication and cleansing your system.
  • Facial therapy(chehre ka ilag):

    • Take 1 cup Bengal gram flour (besan) and add 2 tblsp of turmeric (haldi). Add ¼ cup milk or coconut milk. Make a fine paste. Apply on your face or whole body. Leave the mask till it dries out. Then take a warm bath or shower. It will give shine and glow to your skin. This procedure can be done twice or three times a week.

    • Coconut milk by itself is a good facial cleanser.

    • Turmeric by itself is also a good facial mask. Add enough milk to make a fine consistency and apply on your face or body till it dries out. The take a shower or warm bath.

    cold symptoms(sardee):

    Black pepper tea Ingredients(kali mirch chai):
    ¼ cup ground peppers
    1 cup water
    2-3 gloves garlic
    1 inch ginger root
    1 tsp honey(optional)
    Method: Boil the water in a pot. When the water is boiling hot, add crushed pepper in to it.
    Then add rest of the ingredients.
    Strain the liquid in a strainer.
    The strained liquid can be served in a glass. Drink the warm liquid to relieve from cold. This method can be applied 2-3 times a day, till recovered.
    Note: You can add honey to the drink, if you find the pepper tea is too spicy to drink.

    Sore throat(kharab ghala)- If one has a sore throat due to cold. Then take 2 inch ginger stem and grind the ginger in a grinder to a fine paste. Then extract the juice from the ginger in a tea strainer in a small glass. Add few drops of honey. Then take 1 tblsp 2-3 times a day.

    Open wounds or bleeding :

    Take 2 tblsp of turmeric and add to 2 tblsp of oil and apply it on the wound or on your body . It is also useful, if you have a scratcy or itchy skin.

    Home made shampoo or a natural hair cleanser:
    Mix 10 Arihtas, 10 shikakai pods and 10 tblsp dry Amla, to 10 cups of water in a pot and let them soak overnight. Next day heat the mixture till it is reduced to half its quantity. Then cool and mash these herbs. Strain the liquid in a strainer. This liquid can be used as a shampoo or a cleanser.
