Ingredients: fish masala




500 gms fish, cleaned and cut into medium pieces
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
(Marinate the fish for 1/2 hour)

2 onions, chopped finely
1 tomato, chopped finely
1/2 cup tomato pulp
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cummin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
3 tbsp oil
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing
1/4 cup grated coconut

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Fry onion till goden brown
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste
  4. Simmer for 2 minutes
  5. Add tomatoes and simmer for 3 minutes
  6. Add pulp and all the powders and salt
  7. Cook till oil separates
  8. Add 1 cup water
  9. Add fish and cook till fish is done (don't overcook the fish)
  10. Take in a bowl
  11. Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves
  12. Serve with rice
